In 2010, KFC introduced a great new sandwich to our world of fast foodies. There's no better way to describe the KFC Double Down better than KFC's advertising that eloquently described it:

To those unfamiliar with the KFC Double Down, I want you to imagine two fried chicken patties bravely serving as buns and harmoniously securing a gooey layer of cheese, bacon, and sauce. I'll include a picture at the bottom of this article for that challenge to imagine fast food delights' abstract worlds.

The KFC Double Down doesn't stay in any location for too long. It travels throughout the world and features mutated versions in different locals like the Spicy Zinger (Europe), the Double Down G (Asia), and the Zinger Double Down Mozzarella (Australia). In Hawaii, the Double Down features a slice of pineapple.

I've never had a KFC Double Down, but I tip my hat to it because for six weeks in 2017, it was the fastest-selling sandwich in recorded history, selling one sandwich per second. It's crazy to think a fast food restaurant built on selling fried chicken breaks a record on a sandwich!
