Why Univeral Basic Income is Inevitable and How To Prepare For It
Imagine not having to work. You can stay home, scroll through your phone, and order Uber Eats delivered directly to your front door every day. All you must do is live within your monthly Universal Basic Income (UBI) budget.
There was a time when I thought a Universal Basic Income was a bad idea. I thought it would essentially take money from people who have developed unique skills, work hard, and earn more money and send it to lazy people who don’t have the same skills or work ethic. Recently, my opinion on a universal basic income (I will refer to it as UBI for the rest of the article) has changed from a negative perception to an almost necessary solution that we will see in the next ten years.
I can’t say exactly when the UBI will be launched, but I imagine it will be around the same time that a central bank digital currency (CBDC) gets launched. I will share my thesis on why a UBI is inevitable, why it isn’t so bad, and how I prepare for a future where governments support their constituents instead of taxing them.
