Why, as a Writer, You Shouldn't Be Afraid of AI
OpenAI's ChatGPT model is getting a lot of deserved attention. However, writers don't need to be afraid of AI replacing us…yet.
Have you been reading these "chats" or "interviews" with artificial intelligence solutions? I've been getting them all over my feed, and now I'm seeing more articles and hearing more of my friends talking about ChatGPT. So I decided to sign up for the free beta version of OpenAI's ChatGPT and ask some questions. After interacting with the platform, I have concluded that most writers have nothing to fear from AI competition today.
While ChatGPT is an improvement from other AI writing sources I've tampered with, it still lacks certain aspects and characteristics that readers are drawn towards.
I am no English teacher. I didn't graduate college with an English degree and don't know all the terminology and technicalities of writing. But I have read a lot, and I have a decent amount of experience in writing, so I'm comfortable with my conclusion.
