The token names are based on the Red Hot Chill Peppers, a band that is pretty well known by the 30-50 year old crowd. It is a silly name, but it resonates with this group of investors.

Other cryptos have had ridiculous names as well; doge, sushi, cake, algorand, elrond. Yet these names have made many investors good returns. If you are considering the crypto space, I'd encourage you to look beyond names unless you are looking for passive income. Then you only need to look at US dollar coin.
