Thanks for adding this Bran-done. Housing is debatable because it depends on so many variables: purchase price, interest rates, location, reason for buying, etc. I purchased my home and it was way bigger than I needed but I bought in a down market and it has been a good investment.,

Some drawbacks of owning a larger home than you need but don't necessarily consider are the costs to maintain, update, and cool/heat the larger home. Also, we have bought a lot of unnecessary items that just take up space.

I can see both sides of the argument on this one. Thank you for sharing and making me think about it.
