Tesla vs. Bitcoin: Which is the better buy?

Tesla and Bitcoin have both had a phenomenal decade and a tremendous annual performance since fiat printing, stimulus, and fiscal aggression soared in the past year. Tesla embodies wealth, modernity, environmental conscientiousness, and a stock that has been hyped insanely. Bitcoin represents technology, monetary sovereignty, and a portfolio diversifier that has also had a fantastic tour on the hype train. Currently, both assets are valued similarly: Tesla comes in at $577 billion valuation and Bitcoin has a $693 billion valuation at the time of writing. And while both of these assets have performed incredibly and seem to have bright futures, which is the better investment?

How to compare the assets?

It’s extremely hard to compare the fundamentals of two distinctly different asset classes. Tesla and Bitcoin are both minting millionaires out of ordinary investors. Tesla is an investment in Elon Musk and future expectations that Tesla can stay ahead of the technological curve. They only held 2% of the US market share for automotive manufacturers in 2020, yet the company is valued more almost 50% above the three largest auto manufacturers combined (General Motors, Toyota, and Ford).
