Smart People Are Buying This Now, While It’s Largely Being Ignored
Many people are looking to stay above water rather than get ahead. Accumulating this right now can give you an edge when it becomes ‘in vogue’ again.
Powerlessness isn’t a good feeling. I live in California. My vote for ‘not Kamala’ or ‘not Trump’ is meaningless. Even Polymarket has a 2% chance that a Republican will win California. The 2% taking the Republican side must not appreciate their money. So, as a silent voter, I have to sit and listen and read all the nonsense about an election I have little to no say in. And there’s a good chance you are like me if you reside in any non-battleground state. Maybe you think your vote counts, but that’s similar logic to the fat lady ordering the Diet Coke float from Baskin-Robbins to cut back on calories.
While our collective attention is drawn to something few of us have a meaningful part in, we can either choose to follow along in the circus, or we can pay attention to other things we have little say in, such as the high prices of everything- cars, houses, food, clothes, insurance, carry-on bags, whether Jordan Chiles should get her medal back, or the recession that has probably been here for most people for a while but is now getting labeled as such.
