I went to a baseball game in San Diego this week for the first time in years. It was fun; the weather was perfect, the crowd was friendly, the food was good, the park was pristine, the home team won, and I didn’t feel ripped off. All around, it was a huge win. While at the game, I noticed that when a pitcher had two strikes on a batter, the batter almost always struck out or hit into an out. I previously knew about the pitcher’s advantage, but I did a Google search and confirmed that a hitter with two strikes would return to the dugout over 80% of the time.
It got me thinking about Bitcoin and crypto. I would compare our current situation to Bitcoin being the home pitcher with two strikes on the batter. For the past six months, virtually nothing has happened with Bitcoin’s price. This is similar to a batter with two strikes trying to fight off a strikeout by hitting foul balls. The crowd gets on its feet, watches the pitch, and feels let down as the ball continually enters foul territory.
