Jan, I like your response and think your argument of crypto being speculation is spot on. I'm not sure I agree on the instrinsic expiration of time value portion because almost the entire market is speculation so when the music stops (like we are seeing currently) everything drops. I view time decay like stock options where it's a bit more measured (as stocks aren't primarily speculation).

I feel like with Celsius and Voyager I was staking a poker player who I thought was good and honest, when in reality, the poker player was ruthless and dishonest. I'd be much better off staking myself at the poker table.
