I think about this a lot from a personal standpoint. Good job putting your perspective into words.

Medium is about the closest thing that I do to social media. And it scares me how the algorithm is sending me articles that frame my thinking.

I guess that makes it interesting and scary. At least there is a $5 monthly paywall and the need to write/read in order to participate in the platform.

I fear that not only have a lot of people lost the ability for critical thinking, but they have also lost common sense. Deliver something in an edited YouTube video and quote an expert and it's gotta be true.
