I like your ideas and think you are on the right track. It doesn’t seem like any of these regulations would be too hard to implement and the government would learn a lot sitting in on just the first one alone.
The only part of your article I disagree with is blaming CZ for the downfall of FTX and stating his Tweet was reckless. He basically did the job of what a regulator would do which is blow the whistle that there was too much smoke at FTX to ignore.
I would also add that there be some sort of fiduciary duty by centralized entities (exchanges, lenders, custodians, etc) with extreme consequences for bad actors.
Nice piece and I applaud you for challenging yourself more than just saying, “we need regulations.”
