I had a loan for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Economies depend on loans for real estate, businesses, governments, and nearly everything else.

How is this parasitic? At one point, I was negative tens of thousands of dollars in equity vs. what my property was worth. Again, I took a risk. The risk didn’t work out the way that I anticipated or hoped. I rented the property out at a loss.

Eventually, I sold. Overall, I lost money on the investment. I’m completely lost at how this is parasitic. I think it’s the opposite of parasitic because I paid property taxes and interest on my loans.
