I can see your point and respect your opinion. What is the real worth of diamonds, fine art, or waterfront real estate? People assign the value to items. If you are stranded on an island, a shovel and ax would be more valuable than all the dollars in the world.
There are too many scammers and hustlers in the space. Unfortunately, it's not just in crypto. Think of the scammers who have made money via telephones, text message, social media, and email. Do you write those items off as well?
As the space matures, reliable people are entering and we are collectively learning how to remain vigilant against scammers and hustlers. SBF and many other corporate crypto execs are scumbags, but that also holds true in other industries. Unfortunately, the government doesn't protect citizens from these centralized platforms like they do for other asset classes. Thank you for sharing your thoughts
