I agree that we continue to print. However, I don't think our dollar will lose too much value against other fiat currencies. The rest of the world is in the same boat as far as debt and money printing. The best metaphor that I have heard is that the entire world is in the ER, but the US is the healthiest patient.

Do you think there could be some sort of 'global bankruptcy' or debt restructuring? I am in the camp thinking that the world reserve currency gets moved from the dollar to a basket of currencies/assets. I believe this is why China is working so hard on launching a CBDC.

If the US doesn't have world reserve currency status, we can't print endlessly. As an American, I am not excited about this idea, but I see it as a potential outcome.

I don't know if it will play out in the World Economic Forum, the IMF, or some other global organization. It just seems that a treasury market sell off would mean that creditors would be destroying the value of their paper. I am no economist, just a normal guy trying to understand all this stuff to position myself accordingly.

I really appreciate your thoughtful answer and look forward to reading your hypothesis on how it plays out.
