How It Feels to Be in Web3 Hell
Would you want to eat in the best restaurant in the world if you had to do it alone? Here's my experience in the ICP ecosystem.
"A Nice Place to Visit" is one of the most memorable episodes of The Twilight Zone. In the episode "Rocky," Valentine is a robber who gets shot while fleeing a robbery he commits. He wakes up and finds himself in a fantastic place. Everything is free. Rocky gets a nice apartment, a new suit, and exquisite meals.
Rocky figures he must be in heaven. A friendly older man named Pip is his guide, and Rocky assumes that Pip is his guardian angel. Pip explains that Rocky can have whatever he desires. He asks Pip for $1 million and a pretty girl, and both instantly appear.
Rocky goes to a casino, where he wins every bet he makes. The women do anything that he wants. A month into his stay, Rocky grows tired of having every desire fulfilled. He reaches out to Pip and asks him to switch things up, making him occasionally lose his bets. Pip suggests Rocky rob a bank. However, after reflecting on it, Rocky loses interest because he knows the outcome is pre-determined.
Finally, a bit tired of being in heaven, Rocky asks Pip what the "other place" is like. Pip's response is magical: "Heaven? Whatever gave you the idea…
