How Crypto Can Help Us Get Our Privacy Back
Privacy and personal information have become outdated concepts. Here's how crypto, blockchain, and Web 3.0 can change that.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

Recently, I went shopping at an Amazon Fresh grocery store. Aside from the high prices, lack of customers, and awkward shopping experience (no checkout, scanning my prime membership, and lack of good deals), I left feeling odd. I couldn't put my finger on it until I read The Dystopian Hellscape That Is In-Store Amazon Fresh Shopping by Ossiana Tepfenhart. Ossiana describes how the entire Amazon grocery experience monitors you every second with dozens of video cameras in plain view.
Then, I got to thinking about the stuff we all know about but willingly choose to ignore for functioning in our modern society. When saying stuff, I am referring to how I have to disclose my name, email address, and phone number to do practically anything short of going to the bathroom. And I never give it a second thought because I don't have a choice. If I want to get my Vons (grocery store) card, an app on my iPhone, a Starbucks rewards account, a car, a credit card, a Google search, or most everything else, I have to give up my information.
