There’s so many limitations with traditional finance: limited hours, fees, risk of not being able to access funds, lack of privacy, and qualifications such as ‘accredited investor,’ Plus, in traditional finance, it seems as if there’s an entire industry trading against you.
IMO, the entire GameStop frenzy and lockout illustrates the issue with TradFi. When retail investors found a way to blow up the shorts, the institutions changed the rules. Meanwhile, GameStop issued more stock pocketing much of the gains and benefitting the exec team.
