Don’t Say Anything Good About Bitcoin

Negativity is typically the safest option. So, while many are negative about the Bitcoin opportunity, you can stock up at lower prices.

Review websites and apps like Yelp are a double-edged blade. Let’s say a new restaurant opens with good food and low prices. You discover it early, write a great review on Yelp, and feel good that you helped out the owner and another future customer. Soon after, the restaurant gets a massive wave of more positive reviews on Yelp. The restaurant’s traffic increases and they decide to raise prices.

So now, this restaurant you fell in love with is busy as hell on Friday and Saturday nights, and they have raised their prices because demand for their food is higher. You may feel good that you contributed to the restaurant’s success and that you were an early adopter. But the experience of dining at the restaurant isn’t as great anymore.

What if being early to Bitcoin is bittersweet like this? In ten years, will people who currently speak about the merits of Bitcoin regret that they couldn’t purchase more when it was less than $100,000? Will the adoption rate increase so much that people take for granted that it has value as we think about gold today?
