Dear Dr. Bitcoin:
I really need your help! The Thanksgiving holiday is approaching quickly and I need advice on how to navigate my husband’s family tribalism. You see my husband, Mario, is a Bitcoin maxi. He has very strong feelings about self-sovereignty, fiscal responsibility, and making the world more equitable.
Meanwhile, his brother Luigi is devoutly in the Ethereum camp. He loves the tech behind Ethereum and its ability to have decentralized apps offering an alternative to big tech, traditional finance, and counterparty risk contracts.
It’s gotten so bad that my son, Satoshi Hendershot, won’t even play with his cousin, Vitalik Hendershot. The boys are only five years old and their fathers’ feud has poisoned their relationship.
Everyone else in the family is afraid to speak up because it will further entrench taking sides and conflict within the family. It’s bad enough that I have to cook and host fifteen people for the holiday, but now I’m filled with anxiety over how Mario and Luigi won’t get along. What should I do?
