Some scams have existed for decades, and we accept them. Consider credit card interest rates, resort fees, timeshares, the lottery/gambling, and overpriced food and drink at movie theaters or cultural events. However, some new scams are growing massively and must be called out.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a choice but to fall victim to certain scams. Take the tax code, for example. While the tax code is written unfairly to benefit the richest, it’s not like ordinary people can opt out and say, “I’m not falling for this scam.” Another scam is inflation. We can’t start using gold or Bitcoin to buy groceries just because some central banker decides to print obscene amounts of money and hand it over to their friends.
